Unparalleled Training Experience

Led by TLC-trained trial lawyers Rafe Foreman, a plaintiff lawyer in Lubbock TX, and Kim Benjamin, a criminal defense lawyer in Kansas City MO, this Trial Skills Foundation seminar promises an intensive and immersive experience like no other.  At TLC, we have learned that the greater an attorney’s understanding of the self, the deeper the attorney can understand clients, opposing clients, opposing counsel, judges and, ultimately, the jurors.  Surrounded by a tranquil campus at the Post Oak Lodge, this 5-day seminar will give students the opportunity to learn about themselves in ways that will help them become more effective trial lawyers as they fight for and seek justice.

Learn, Practice, Succeed

One of the standout features of this course is its practical approach. Participants have the opportunity to work on their own cases, honing their skills under the guidance of top-notch faculty, and not just listening to endless lectures.  You will train with an expert team of trial lawyers who have been trained and teaching at TLC for years:  Patti Anderson (WA), Sean Brown (AK/CO), Jeff Hill (CO), Cambry McNabb (TX), Laura O’Sullivan (MO), Mike Smith (GA), Vicki Slater (MS), Nelson Tyrone (GA) and Luke Wallace (OK).  They will be joined by our certified and licensed psychodramatists Jeff Chapdelaine (MA), Jason Hasko (NY) and Louise LIpman (NY).

Led by this experienced faculty team, students will be given the opportunity to unlock their full potential.  This Seminar gives students a peaceful and secluded environment in which to reflect, take time for yourself, learn about yourself, and build new relationships with trial lawyers from across the country, providing the support and network for greater satisfaction and more resounding courtroom successes.

Real-World Impact

Past attendees of the Trial Skills Foundation course have raved about its effectiveness and the ease in which they can take the knowledge and techniques they acquire at the seminar and translate them into remarkable successes in their cases.  Whether securing a not-guilty verdict in a criminal case or winning a multimillion-dollar lawsuit, the course has repeatedly proven its worth.

Bring Your Case

Take advantage of this opportunity to bring your toughest case to work on with our faculty team. The Trial Skills Foundation course is tailor-made to help you tackle the challenges specific to your upcoming trials and ensure you're well-prepared for success.  In addition to the exploratory work into yourself through psychodrama, you will learn how to apply and integrate the psychodramatic methods into your trial skills to make for a more compelling case and one that your jurors can better relate to.
