In this episode, we talk with Dana Cole, Attorney, Trial Lawyers College Faculty and Board Member and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Akron. Dana brings a very unique perspective – not only does he both practice law and teach it, he also has the opportunity to teach law students at the very beginning of their journey and then teach them later, through the Trial Lawyers College, when they’re well down their professional path. Interviewing Dana Cole
After graduating from law school in 1986, Dana was a full-time trial lawyer in Dayton, Ohio for 11 years. In 1997 he joined the faculty of the University of Akron School of Law and is now a tenured Associate Professor of Law teaching Trial Advocacy, Advanced Trial Advocacy, Evidence and Criminal Law. Dana is also a Teaching Team Member at Harvard Law School’s Winter Trial Advocacy Workshop. Dana graduated from TLC’s 3-Week Program in 1995 and started on the faculty in 1996. He became a board member in 2004 and in January 2014 was elected Secretary. “From the beginning, Every year I learn more than I teach. The journey continues.”
